Project Goal:

The goal was to design a modern digital cookbook that combines clear editorial layout, strong visual hierarchy, and an enjoyable reading experience across multiple pages. The project focused on creating a consistent visual identity while presenting recipes in an attractive and easy-to-follow format.

Type of work: Academic project

Idea and Concept:

This project is a 20-page digital cookbook created around a clean and elegant editorial style. The publication is divided into three recipe categories—Breakfast, Main Course, and Desserts—each distinguished by its own color palette while maintaining a cohesive visual identity throughout the book.

Each recipe is presented across two pages: the first page showcases the finished dish, while the second includes the ingredients, cooking instructions, preparation time, serving size, and difficulty level. Additional sections such as cooking measurements, glossary, chef's tips, and notes make the cookbook practical and user-friendly.

Color Palette

  • Breakfast – warm beige and brown tones

  • Main Course – burgundy and soft orange

  • Desserts – light and medium violet shades

This approach allows each section to have its own visual character while maintaining a consistent visual style throughout the book.

Typography

Baskerville – Classic serif typeface used throughout the publication for body text, ensuring excellent readability.

Snell Roundhand – Elegant handwritten script used for titles and decorative headings, adding elegance to the overall design.

Amorria Brush – Decorative display font used selectively within the Main Course sectionю.
